A critical persuasive essay centered on expressivism in the context of English pedagogy. Maintains the use of expressivist practices to introduce students to the writing process.

The Maid of Gettysburg

November 2022

A collection of 11 poems written in a variety of poetic styles. The collection details the life of Jennie Wade, the only civilian to directly die during the Battle of Gettysburg, and explores the questions of history, legacy, and the ordinary. The collection was accepted for presentation at Liberty University's 2023 Research Week and won an award in the creative/artistic category.
